I know everyone's talking about what they are knitting up for others this Christmas (many knittters start thinking about this as early as June), but I'm starting to make a list of what I, as a knitter, would like to get for Christmas. 
This is the first item on my list. A set of 12 blocking pads from Knitpicks. I WISH I'd had these when I was blocking my waterfall scarf. Living in a small space, I like that these will be compact to store and allow me to block on a table or counter top or on top of the bed out of reach of 4 little Papillon paws. At $19.99 I think they are a great deal.
My second item is a ball winder -- okay, okay, I know that I could use one at any one of the three LYS's within a 10 min. drive of my home, but it's just not always convenient to do that -- I'd like to have one I could use at home. I see that Knitpiks has one of these as well. Does anyone have a favorite ball winder brand they'd like to share?
I'd also like another 2 or 3 Tom Bihn Tall Yarn Stuff Sacks. When I have several projects on the go I like them each to have their own bag. I think my list is very reasonable. I hope whoever picks my name this year in our family Christmas draw will think so too. Wish me luck!
