It may look like a sleeve for an Orangutan, but it is the first sleeve for my Portrait Cardigan.
When you are knitting with denim yarn, you need to add extra-length to accomodate the shrinkage and while my measurement is right for the finished size, it sure seems like one VERY long sleeve.
Another thing I finished this week wasThe Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Schaffer and Annie Barrows.
Despite the promising mention of "Guernsey" in the title, there's no mention of the famous knitting of the Channel Islands in this book. Rather it is a story of life on the island during and immediately following the WWII German Occupation. This book made me laugh (a lot) and it made me cry and, unlike the sleeve, I was very sorry to have finished it so quickly!
