This Easy Baby Cardigan started out as a Christmas gift for my youngest nephew but fell by the wayside what with the move and all the other last minute Christmas knitting I was working my way through. I've actually knit most of it twice since in my earlier haste I had messed up one of the sleeves at a point where it was joined to the body so both sleeves and most of the body had to come out to fix it.
But the upside was that I got lots of practice with the magic loop method which I used for the sleeves and it was a good lesson in perserverance.
I used Misti Alpaca's Tonas Pima Silk, "strawberry". The overdyed bits in this red skein did fluff up after I washed it which was a relief -- no more crunchy bits of thinner looking yarn.
I was making it in the "next size up" for my growing nephew so thankfully it will still fit just fine even with a late delivery.
Feels good to finally have it finished. Anyone else tidying up projects from last Christmas?

Very cute! I've learned the magic loop, but I'm not sure I like it. It just seems to be slower than DPs.
Let's see-baby socks for my ETSY store, which is ongoing, that's about it. I have a scarf almost finished and I started a stole when we went to Mazatlan. I'll do the stole after I finish the scarf. And I've kind of gotten hooked on those swirly scarves, the ones you use the mesh yarn for. The yarn is getting prettier and therefore it's more fun.

I like the sweater: nice pattern and pretty colour. Only two knitted Christmas items for me--and thankfully I finished them in early December.
Never tried the magic loop method. I should check it out on You-Tube some time to see it "in action".

Very cute sweater! The yarn is so vibrant and cheerful---perfect!
Yes, WIPs for me, too. I ripped an almost finished sweater to start again. It is slow going since miles of stockinette are involved!
