I lucked out with a meter spot right out front and approached the front window with eager anticipation. Isn't it an inviting window display?
When you step inside the first thought is how elegant the place is. A large crystal chandelier hangs
in the center of the store over the sitting area where a "Summer Sweater Knit Along" was in progress. The staff were quick to welcome and offer assistance and I felt very comfortable to browse on my own -- the yarns line the perimeter of the store.
It's a large store and it's full of high quality yarns and plenty of those are wool -free. Yarns like Alchemy Silken Straw, Blue Heron, Be Sweet Bamboo, to name just a few. They also have a HUGE selection of colors in Cascade's Pima Cotton -- truly every color imaginable.
But this was what caught my eye and captivated all of my attention.
Black Pearl 3-ply fingering by the yarn sisters. It is gorgeous and I've never seen it before and so I had to have it -- the only challenge was what 2 colors did I want?
I used the knitters in class to conduct a quick survey and the winning combo was pink and grey. They do look gorgeous together. Now I just have to decide on the pattern.
Gorgeous yarn shop to visit if you happen to be in the area. I only wish I lived a little closer as they have a lot of interesting classes and perks for their regular customers.
Off to search patterns -- what would you make with this yarn?
