When it comes to organizing my clothes, I'm sort of particular. I hang all my pants in my half of the armoire (because I like to see them all at once) and I hang tops and jackets etc. in my half of our clothes closet. EXCEPT for my handknit sweaters.
In the chest of drawers I store my undergarments, sleepwear and sweats.
Which has always left me with the dilemna of where to put my hand knit sweaters?
I WANT to hang them in the closet with the other tops (where I can see them and will remember I have them and wear them) but I've been too afraid of them getting stretched out of a shape on the hanger.
So I usually fold them and put them in the drawers under the bed where they take up a ton of space and I forget about them all too often.
Then today I happened upon this amazing solution:
You fold your sweater on the hanger. BRILLIANT, is it not?
If you are saying, what? I don't get it? Why do you have a hanger in the armpit of that sweater?
Or at least that's how this non-knitting blogger did it. I'll let you know how it works for me and my handknits after I tackle the project this weekend.
What are your tips and tricks for organizing your handknit sweaters?
