When I started this project I was working mostly with the medium blue and ecru denim yarns and the transfer of blue dye from yarn to hands was very minimal.
But I'm into the dark denim squares full-force now and with each progressive square it gets harder and harder to wash the dye off. Still love this yarn though!
I have some denim yarn for which I keep changing the designated project. I think your blanket will be gorgeous.
Like you, I'm on the hunt for a good price to get more denim as I want to make a few things with it. I've been watching Elann to see if they get the cones back in stock of their house brand yarn which many knitters have found comparable.

Crazy! You could have lots of fun telling strangers crazy stories of why you're turnign blue.

I had some yarn that did that to my hands that was dyed by a now out of business yarn store owner.
I rinsed the yarn several times in vinegar and cold water. The dyer didn't rinse the excess out very well.
