My mom made countless Mary Maxim kits, especially the bulky knit sweaters with the horse on the back. I can still see the one she made for my cowboy stepfather. He wore that everywhere. In fact, I still have the patterns for those in her stash that I took home after she died. I keep thinking I'd like to make one of them up someday......

Very cool! Any other stores in SW Ontario you recommend?

My favorite, Alyssa, is "Shall We Knit" (they used to be in New Hamburg, but are in the process of moving to a larger location in Waterloo (I'll be visiting them there next time I'm up). And, I've just discovered "A Close Knit" in Stratford which is a small, but well-stocked shop.

Nice to know! If you're ever near London and have time, we should meet up!

I am looking for a mary maxim bulky sweater kit for a young lady. I can't find one on google. I will take a patterned one or plain. It is for the old fashioned cardigan we all used to wear withthe rolled collar and zippered or buttoned

Hi Dellie; You can find all their patterns for sale here at www.marymaxim.com
