I'm stash busting this week and also taking a bit of a break from the more complex cable knitting -- I've started a garter-stitch knit, Ruffled Fichu, by Jane Sowerby in BC Garn Studio's Jaipur Silk Fino (which was my souvenir yarn from Iceland).
I've only enough yarn for the main body of the shawl so I'll be looking for a complimentary 2-ply laceweight silk yarn for the ruffle, but I think a slight contrast between the two will be pretty.
It doesn't look like much at the moment, but I think it will be gorgeous when it's all done. Garter stitch is SO addictive, isn't it?
It's beautiful so far and can only become prettier. What a lovely color.
