I told you I was on a slipper knitting kick. These little Sock Monkey slippers for kids knit up so fast I could hardly believe it. They may just be the fastest thing I've ever knit.
I used Tweedy Pima for the body and ears and some scrap Pima Cotton I had on hand for the face. I also used scrap red cotton yarn for the the mouth (which was the trickiest and most time consuming part of the whole thing for me because a seamstress I'm not and the mouth is hand stitched on with no better instruction than that!) Little black buttons make up the eyes.
They are going to be Christmas gifts for the two youngest nephews if I can hold off that long on giving them to them. They are just so darn cute!!
